What am I responsible for?

I am a member of Barnwood Trust’s Leadership Team. I take overall responsibility for the work of Barnwood’s Engagement in the county. I make sure that disabled people and people with mental health conditions are involved in shaping our work to help drive change that’s needed, and that our communication and engagement activities have the greatest impact to support that change.

What brings me here?

I have worked at Barnwood for a few years now, mostly in marketing, communications and events, and more recently in developing Barnwood Circle and our involvement strategy. Previously, I worked as a Theatre Manager putting together programmes of indoor and outdoor theatre, film and community performances. Before that I studied theatre and education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in London. This taught me that telling and hearing stories, being involved in activities with other people and sharing a purpose, can help make a positive impact for people and place.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

My dogs Peppa and Bailey keep me well, we enjoy walks together in the woods and snuggles on the sofa. Listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks is also a good stressbuster for me. (She/her)
