Why do I want to be a Barnwood Trustee?

I am a chartered surveyor and my career has been in both the private and public sector. I have lived and worked in Gloucestershire since the early 1980s and I became a Barnwood Trust Trustee in 2019 having had no previous experience as a trustee.

I have been impressed by the challenge of understanding competing needs, prioritisation and encouragement of cooperative approaches. Seeking to secure ‘best’ use of its people and financial resources is at the heart of being a Barnwood Trust trustee.

 

What experience do I bring to the Trust?

For two centuries Barnwood Trust has had an inspiring history as a pioneering provider of mental health care and support and it is a great privilege to work with its highly motivated and capable team helping to improve the lives of disabled people and people with mental health conditions in the county.
