What am I responsible for?

My job is to award and evaluate the impact of funding to organisations and groups in Gloucestershire. Maintaining supportive and learning relationships to contribute to the trusts grant making processes, purpose and vision.

What brings me here?

I’ve had a variety of supportive roles throughout my working life, but a pivotal position for me was in Corporate Social Responsibility. Combined with lived experiences and years of volunteering, I have wanted to work in the charity sector since then. I am passionate about helping others and giving a voice to those who struggle to be heard, so I am delighted to support Barnwood Trust in making a difference to the lives of disabled people and people with mental health conditions in the county.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

I enjoy eating out, going to the cinema and theatre, and attending comedy and music gigs with family and friends. I love being creative, upcycling is my passion and there isn’t a surface in our home which hasn’t been decoupaged or painted! I make my own greetings cards, I sew and I’m always keen to try out new crafts. I like reading, swimming, yoga and walks with my beloved JRT Poppy. The beach is my happiest place to unwind – listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and feeling the sand between your toes – pure bliss.
