Access to Nature
Learning programme 2023
Hosted and facilitated by Barnwood Trust in collaboration with Gloucestershire LNP
‘Access to nature is unequal’ – not all people experience the same opportunities to engage with the natural environment.
The Access to Nature forum was made up of more than 20 blue and green space organisations who are either Gloucestershire-based and provide activities and services within Gloucestershire or national organisations that have specific programmes of work and staff teams serving the needs of Gloucestershire.
The purpose was to:
- Give access to insight and data around barriers to nature and understanding its impact.
- Support participants to listen and understand what accessing opportunities in nature for those with protected characteristics looks and feels like from experts by experience and specialist organisations
- Connect participants to organisations and individuals who can share their good practices and relevant support, data and tools to influence and improve organisational processes and practices.
